Lip reader reveals what JLo and Ben Affleck said during tense Grammys exchange

Fans couldn’t help but notice Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck appeared visibly uncomfortable at the 2023 Grammys, with clips of the pair muttering to each other going viral on social media.

Now, a lip-reader has claimed she knows what the famous couple really said during a particularly tense exchange while sitting front-row at the awards ceremony.

At one point during the televised show, Affleck appeared to ask the Jenny from the Block singer if he could have another drink.

“No, don’t drink,” a TikTok lip-reader said in a video, as she re-enacted one of their conversations. “You promised me.”

After Lopez seemed to deny Affleck’s plea for another drink, he then reportedly added: “Just one glass?”

After this awkward exchange, the couple looked directly at the camera after realising it had been caught on film.

Another lip-reader told the Daily Mail that Lopez also reprimanded her husband for not looking “friendly” as the camera panned towards them.

“Stop, look more friendly,” the singer is believed to have said. “Look motivated.”

After the 2023 Grammys aired on televisions around the world, viewers couldn’t help but notice how glum the Good Willing Hunting star looked during the show.

Many Grammy watchers on social media noted how Affleck seemingly wanted to be anywhere but Crypto.com Arena in LA.

Whoever keeps cutting to Ben Affleck as he gets more and more exasperated, thank you,” said author and radio host Elamin Abdelmahmoud on Twitter.

“Ben Affleck is every husband dragged to a work thing by his wife,” another person wrote on Twitter.

“Ben Affleck is every introvert everywhere,” yet another Twitter user wrote. “You can see his batteries draining in real time. Man is already at 23%. #SaveBen.”

Lopez and Affleck tied the knot in July 2022 during a secret Vegas ceremony after becoming engaged for the second time.

They had a second wedding in August that same year, this time in Georgia.

The on-again-off-again couple were engaged for the first time in November 2002 before calling it quits in 2004.
