It’s usually a must to have a great physical attacker on any Pokémon team. Any Pokémon with a high physical attack is always strong enough to wreck the competition, leaving any Pokémon in their dust.
In the world of Pokémon, there are some pocket monsters that hit hard, and others that hit a little too hard. This list happens to shed some light on the Pokémon that fit the latter description.
10 Ultra Necrozma – 167
Many Nuzlockers surely have nightmares of Ultra Necrozma – and for very good reason. Ultra Necrozma can effortlessly KO opposing Pokémon physically as well as it can specially, having ended multiple Nuzlocke runs in Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon without a hitch.
Speaking of physical attack, Ultra Necrozma owns a base stat of 167. While it may not know Zen Headbutt, it can pull off the Dragon-type move Outrage, which coupled with its high physical attack can take Pokémon out without much trouble. X-Scissor, Shadow Claw, and Sunsteel Strike are great coverage options that Ultra Necrozma has.
9 Mega Garchomp – 170
Being arguably the best pseudo-legendary Pokémon around, Garchomp is considered by many to be a super intimidating Pokémon. Many Diamond and Pearl players might have unfound memories of this mach Pokemon demolishing their teams with moves such as Dragon Rush and Earthquake.
With the introduction of Mega Evolutions in Gen VI, Game Freak made the already fearsome Garchomp into a more lethal Pokémon. Mega Garchomp has a physical attack of 170, giving its moves a bit more punch. During a Sandstorm, Mega Garchomp gains additional power in moves such as Earthquake, Iron Tail, and Stone Edge thanks to its Sand Force ability.
8 Black Kyurem – 170
Fusing with Zekrom turns Kyurem into Black Kyurem, and gives the boundary Pokémon a physical attack of 170 in the process. It also gains access to the move Fusion Bolt, Zekrom’s signature move.
But that’s not all, however. After fusion, Black Kyurem can also use Freeze Shock – a two-turn Ice-type move that has a fair chance of paralyzing the opponent. Thanks to its Ice-typing, Black Kyurem can rack up a ton of damage with this move – and an Icium Z can turn this move into the even more powerful Subzero Slammer.
7 Crowned Sword Zacian – 170
When holding the Rusted Sword, Zacian goes from the Hero of Many Battles to Crowned Sword, gaining the Steel-type in the process. And thanks to its ability, Inteprid Sword, this warrior Pokémon gains a boost to its 170 physical attack upon switching in.
Crowned Sword Zacian possesses several great STAB moves, such as Play Rough, Iron Head, and its signature move Behemoth Blade – which does double damage on a Dynamxed Pokémon. And because it has a sword motif, it’s only fitting that Zacian can use the move Swords Dance to beef up its attack.
6 Primal Groudon – 180
Primal Groudon is very much a more powerful version of the continent Pokémon, becoming a Ground/Fire-type once its Red Orb is activated. Its ability, Desolate Land, prevents Water-type moves from being executed, which in turn is extremely useful given Primal Groudon’s typing.
Primal Groudon has a 180 physical attack stat, which makes moves such as Earthquake even more powerful than before. But perhaps one thing that this Pokémon is best known for is its signature move, Precipice Blades, which despite its 85 percent accuracy rate has a great base power of 120.
5 Mega Rayquaza – 180
Mega Rayquaza is balanced in both physical and special attack, with a stat of 180 in both categories. However, many see this sky high Pokémon as more of a physical attacker. The reason? Its signature move, Dragon Ascent.
Dragon Ascent is a highly powerful Flying-type STAB maneuver with a BP of 120, and it’s a guaranteed hit with a hundred percent accuracy rate. The fact that this move comes with no charging turn or cool-down period only makes it even better. It’s also a reason why most consider Mega Rayquaza to be one of the best physical attackers around.
4 Deoxys (Attack Forme) -180
Attack Forme Deoxys is a glass cannon in every sense of the word, able to demolish as much as possible before getting knocked out. Its 180 physical attack, coupled with its high speed, makes it an alluring choice for any Pokémon team.
The point of Attack Forme Deoxys is to destroy, destroy, and destroy, and this DNA Pokémon has a deep-enough moveset to get the job done. With moves such as Zen Headbutt, Body Slam, Meteor Mash, and many others, Attack Forme Deoxys makes for a fantastic asset.
3 Kartana – 181
Kartana may not be known for having particularly great special defense, but this tiny little Ultra Beast packs a punch with a gaudy physical attack of 181. Add in the fact that it’s also pretty fast, and this drawn sword Pokémon could mean trouble for any foe in its path.
Being a Grass/Steel-type not only gives Kartana plenty of resistances but also makes moves like Leaf Blade and Smart Strike even stronger. One Swords Dance and a Beast Boost for every KO’d Pokémon quickly turns Kartana into a killing machine meant to be reckoned with.
2 Mega Heracross – 185
Mega Heracross has a supremely high physical attack, its 185 base stat higher than other mega evolved Bug-type Pokémon such as Pinsir, Beedrill, and Scizor. Its Bug/Fighting typing adds a little extra juice to powerful moves such as Close Combat and Megahorn.
Perhaps Mega Heracross’s best quality is its ability, Skill Link, which makes multi-hit attacks hit the max number of times. This gives added coverage to moves like Bullet Seed and Rock Blast, as the latter move can take any pesky Flying-type Pokémon out of the sky.
1 Mega Mewtwo X – 190
Mewtwo is primarily known as a special attacker, so it’s hard to imagine it as a physical threat. However, Game Freak made the seemingly impossible possible when it introduced one of Mewtwo’s Mega Evolutions – Mega Mewtwo X.
Mega Mewtwo has the highest physical attack out of all Pokémon with 190, and it’s a Psychic/Fighting-type. It knows STAB moves such as Zen Headbutt and Low Kick and it even has access to the move Earthquake. Earthquake is an absolute must for any superb physical attacker – and Mega Mewtwo X is arguably the best of them all.
