Dorit Kemsley Reveals Robbers Haven’t Been Caught Yet

RHOBH star Dorit Kemsley appears on WWHL with Andy Cohen and reveals that the gunmen behind her recent home invasion have not been apprehended.

Dorit Kemsley of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills fame has provided an update on the recent intrusion into her home, revealing that those behind the act are yet to be apprehended. Dorit faced a rather terrifying experience lately. The fashion designer’s home was recently invaded by muggers who went away with many valuables. According to reports, three male intruders broke into Dorit’s home last October while she and her kids, son Jagger, 7, and daughter Phoenix, 5, were fast asleep.

The Bravo personality dealt with the tough situation alone as her husband was not home. However, she confirmed that her children slept through the encounter. Authorities’ reports showed that there were no injuries, although an “unknown amount of property” was taken from the residence during the robbery. The terrifying scene played out on the RHOBH season 12 premiere on Wednesday, May 11.

Dorit, 45, further addressed the issue during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen alongside co-star and friend Kyle Richards. The robbery victim did not hold back while sharing her experience of being threatened by gunmen. However, when host Andy Cohen asked if the culprits had been arrested, Dorit said, “No, not yet. I don’t believe so.” She also said it has been difficult for her to watch the traumatic scene play out on the new episode of the Bravo housewives show, but she is “getting through it.”

The mom of two also noted that her children, who were asleep during the break-in, still do not know about the robbery. She is grateful that she and her family are safe. On her security system, which was off during the incident, Dorit said she had to turn it off because the kids usually get up in the middle of the night. When Andy asked how Dorit stayed level-headed during the attack, she said, “They were so unnerved and didn’t expect me to be home, and were very nervous, agitated and anxious. I knew I had to counter that with being calm.” Dorit also noted that she told the intruders who were already obtaining valuables to take all they wanted but requested that they should not harm her kids.

Andy later shifted the conversation to a lighter topic as he and Dorit discussed her reaction to co-star Sutton Stracke comparing her work-related issues to the terrifying armed robbery. Dorit said she was shocked when she saw Sutton’s comments after being robbed. Andy, Dorit, and Kyle also talked about their co-star Erika Jayne’s character in the new season. Dorit believes Erika “is completely different than we’ve ever seen. Very free and just letting loose. Letting her guard down.”

While many would have freaked out at gunpoint, The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Dorit showed just how brave she is by handling the situation calmly. Dorit is also wise to keep her kids out of the whole experience, as knowing gunmen attacked them could be traumatizing for them. Thankfully, the robbers left without causing any physical damage. Although the robbers are yet to be found, authorities are still at work, and one hopes they are eventually caught so Dorit can get justice.
