Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes Reveals New Looks For Golden Deer

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes’ new trailer reveals new designs for the Golden Deer house ahead of release, showing off new character appearances.

The final reveal trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes shows off the new looks for the Golden Deer house, and fans are excited. Three Hopes is based on Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which has three different teams that the player can choose to join. For the past several weeks, Nintendo has been dropping a trailer every Friday to reveal each team’s new appearances and abilities for Three Hopes, and the updates are creating excitement for players.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses was released in 2019, and the large cast of colorful characters quickly become popular with fans of the series. Players assumed the role of Byleth, who becomes an instructor to the characters of whichever house the player decides to lead. This teaching system allows players to bond with characters in a way that the Fire Emblem series had never offered before, despite the games encouraging attachments to individual characters that can be permanently lost if they die in action. However, acting as a teacher and giving individualized care to each NPC while watching them progress into powerful warriors has made Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and its characters, stand out from the rest of the series.

Earlier today, Nintendo UK dropped the final House reveal trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, featuring the Golden Deer. The Golden Deer house consists of Claude, Hilda, Marianne, Ignatz, Lorenz, Raphael, Lysithea, and Leonie. The other houses, the Black Eagles and the Blue Lions, already had their character reveals which were met with mixed enthusiasm from character to character. Some NPCs, like the Blue Lion’s Annette and Dedue, were immediately adored, while others were less enthused about the new haircuts for Caspar and Sylvain. With players defending their favorites from the other houses, Golden Deer fans were prepared to do the same once the trailer finally dropped. However, each character in the Golden Deer has a stunning design for players to enjoy. Many Fire Emblem players have already started posting fan art, memes, and videos sharing opinions, and multiple posts like dxhird’s, stating “GOLDEN DEER WINS”, broadcast appreciation for the updated appearances.

After seeing the dreadful “Vegeta cuts” that Sylvain and Caspar received for Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, fans were dreading and betting on which of their Golden Deer faves would get the same look. However, fears were dispelled as each character is paired with adorable hair accessories or short, sassy bobs. Claude, Hilda, and Lorenz had already been revealed in the announcement trailer for Three Hopes, but it was the other characters like popular favorites Marianne and Ignatz that fans feared for.

The Golden Deer house appearances seem to have settled the wildly discussed topic of which Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes team looks best, and may affect who fans will join for their first playthrough. Now that most, if not all, of the returning characters from the original game have been revealed, players are left to wait until the game’s release next month to see them all in action. However, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes will release for the Nintendo Switch on June 24th, offering a short window until players can embark on their next adventure in the series.
