Limited-Edition Chocolate Bars Return To Comic-Con For 2022 [EXCLUSIVE]

Screen Rant has an exclusive first look at new flavors for the SDCC 2022 limited-edition chocolate bars crafted by the San Diego Convention Center.

San Diego Comic Con is welcoming back a sweet tradition for 2022, as the San Diego Convention Center is once again joining forces with Sodexo Live! to bring hungry convention attendees their infamous limited-edition chocolate bars for the first time since 2019. Screen Rant can exclusively reveal the four delicious flavors to choose from, explained in more detail below. The teams led by Sodexo Live! Executive Chef Sufi Karaien and Pastry Chef Matthew Haven are handcrafting 1,000 bars of each kind, which will be sold at Comic-Con from July 21 to July 24.

Not only do the culinary craftsman make a hundred candy bars every 90 minutes, like a real-life chocolate factory, but they also infuse each flavor with whimsical concepts that recall beloved pop culture elements that Comic Con is meant to celebrate. As chef Karaien declares in the official announcement, “We have a blast making these pop culture candy bars for California’s biggest pop culture event. You won’t find these flavors anywhere else. It’s these personal touches that keep people excited about coming to in-person events like this one.”

In fact, the last in-person San Diego Comic Con extravaganza saw the Convention Center’s food and beverage team sell out over 4,000 chocolate bars over four days, having prepared them every afternoon to preserve the perfect flavor.

To add to the excitement, golden tickets will be hidden inside four of the chocolate bars, which can then be redeemed for $100 Starbucks gift cards. Be sure to stop by and try your luck when visiting San Diego for the convention this year!
