Obi-Wan Fan Poster Turns Force Unleashed’s Starkiller Into an Inquisitor

A fan poster for Obi-Wan Kenobi imagines what Star Wars: The Force Unleashed’s Starkiller could look like as a live-action Inquisitor.

A fan poster for Obi-Wan Kenobi imagines Starkiller from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed making his live-action debut. The Force Unleashed was a popular Star Wars game released in 2008, followed by Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II two years later in 2010. Despite Starkiller being the name of the new Death Star-type weapon in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the character voiced by Sam Witwer has yet to appear in any other project in the franchise.

Starkiller hasn’t been confirmed or even rumored to appear in Obi-Wan Kenobi, but there are several other popular characters returning in the Disney+ original series. Ewan McGregor is of course returning as Obi-Wan, 17 years after he last played the character in Star Wars: Episode III- Revenge of the Sith. Hayden Christensen is also coming back as Darth Vader, which will lead into the Inquisitors storyline. Uncle Owen, Aunt Beru, and Luke Skywalker are confirmed, but other prominent characters like Qui-Gon Jinn, Emperor Palpatine, and Yoda are rumored as well. However, given the timeline of Obi-Wan Kenobi, 10 years after Revenge of the Sith, dozens of other characters could appear.

The Force Unleashed‘s main character hasn’t been included in many theories about Obi-Wan Kenobi, but a fan poster from guiillegfx imagines Starkiller making his live-action debut. The artwork shows Witwer in a costume similar to Starkiller’s in the comics, but instead of being Darth Vader’s apprentice, he is an Inquisitor. The artist’s original post can be seen below:

As of late, Disney has included more characters from animated Star Wars shows into their live-action originals. The Mandalorian season 2 saw the long-awaited debut of Ahsoka Tano, and The Book of Boba Fett briefly included Cad Bane, both of which were characters in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. With how quickly the Star Wars universe is expanding, it is possible Starkiller could eventually come to a live-action series. Witwer is also very tied to the franchise, frequently voicing Emperor Palpatine and Darth Maul in various projects.

Dave Filoni decided against including Starkiller in Star Wars: Rebels, and it doesn’t seem likely that Obi-Wan Kenobi will include him either. Obi-Wan Kenobi‘s six episodes are no doubt going to be packed and deal with Obi-Wan coming to terms with Anakin turning to the dark side. If Starkiller were to be introduced as an Inquisitor, it likely wouldn’t be a very big role, which would run the chance of disappointing fans. Now might not be the right time to introduce a live-action Starkiller, especially if Disney were to make him Darth Vader’s Sith apprentice. However, that doesn’t mean Disney won’t ever make the character canon.
