Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas are reportedly planning to tie the knot this August. However, while The Real Housewives of New Jersey typically films in the summer months, viewers of the long-running series may not actually see the couple say “I do.”
According to a new report, Teresa is currently debating about whether or not she should allow the cameras to follow her and Luis on their special day, especially after her fiancé faced such negativity amid the show’s 12th season.
On April 5, an insider told Page Six that Teresa is “on the fence” about filming her wedding and noted that recent comments made by her former RHONJ co-star, Kim DePaola, were “in the ballpark” of conversations she and Luis are having in regard to their summer ceremony.
As fans may have heard, Kim recently appeared on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast, where she claimed to have “found out” that Dina Manzo would be Teresa’s maid of honor and said she and Luis would wed in August.
Kim went on to say that Luis is upset about the way he’s been portrayed on RHONJ season 12, which has spotlighted claims of him being “sex-obsessed,” given a nod to past domestic violence allegations, and more.
“Because of all the pressure he’s getting now with all these lawsuits, I guess he’s having second thoughts about being on a reality show and all that,” Kim speculated on the podcast, suggesting that Luis was “getting cold feet a little bit” about his and Teresa’s upcoming wedding.
“[He] thought that he was the Teflon Don, thought that he could come on this show and no one was going to find out his crap,” she added. “Well, that’s not what happens.”
If Teresa ultimately decides not to move forward with a filmed wedding, Page Six said the mother of four would likely provide production with her own home videos and footage taken on cell phones for the 13th season.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 12 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
