RHOC: Shannon Beador Dismisses Lawsuit Against Facebook After Claiming Diet Pill Company Used Her Image

Shannon Beador has dropped her case against Facebook.

Months after the Real Housewives of Orange County cast member filed a civil lawsuit against the social media platform, claiming a diet pill company illegally used her name and face to sell their products on Facebook and Instagram, she’s dismissed the case “without prejudice.”

According to court documents obtained by Radar Online on October 8, the 57-year-old informed the court she is throwing out her allegations against Facebook. However, because she did so “without prejudice,” she has allowed the door to remain open on a potential future refiling.

As the outlet explained, Shannon filed her case in July but never actually served Facebook with the lawsuit, which also claimed that more than 15 third party companies had acted as if she was an endorser of their weight loss products.

“In doing so causing loss of goodwill and reputation to Plaintiff thus damaging her career and endorsement opportunities,” she alleged in court documents.

At the time of her filing, the longtime RHOC cast member was seeking to block Facebook from posting any further ads and requesting an unspecified amount in damages. However, because she never served the company, they did not respond to the suit. And now, the case is officially closed.

In recent years, Shannon has been involved with her fair share of court drama. As RHOC fans will likely recall, she and Tamra Judge were sued by Alexis Bellino‘s ex-husband Jim Bellino, who claimed the former friends defamed him during an appearance on Heather McDonald‘s podcast.

Ultimately, after Shannon denied wrongdoing, a judge sided with her and ordered Jim to pay her $137k for attorney fees.

Shannon was also involved in a court battle with ex-husband David Beador, who attempted to ban their daughters from filming season 16 of the Bravo reality series, claiming he feared they would drag him and his new wife, Lesley Beador, into the drama of the show.

Shannon and David have since reached a agreement that allowed the girls to appear.

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 16 began filming in July with returning cast member Heather Dubrow and is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime late this year or early next year.
