After seeing how The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills had a negative impact on her friend Kyle Richards’ relationships with sisters Kim Richards and Kathy Hilton, who both have appeared alongside Kyle, Teddi says it would be a no-go for her.
Per Heavy, while speaking with her Two T’s in a Pod podcast host, Real Housewives of Orange County alum Tamra Judge, Teddi recalled a traumatizing experience in which she had to call Bravo and beg for them to edit footage out of her talking negatively about a family member.
“I can say this from my own experience, there was something I said about one of my family members on the show and it was going to air, and I knew that it was going to mentally hurt that person and I honestly called and cried and begged. I was like ‘this is not going to be part of a storyline; it’s only going to hurt this person. I am begging you to please not show it’ and they didn’t,” Teddi revealed.
Tamra agreed, sharing a similar experience she had while filming her RHOC spinoff show, 2013’s Tamra’s O.C. Wedding, and she agreed that filming with family is just not worth it.
“I got into it with my brother and my mom and at the end of the day it was a huge fight and for what? I’m going to expose this huge fight with my family at the end of the day and feel like s***,” Tamra said.
Well, luckily, neither of the women needs to worry about that anymore as both were let go by their respective shows. However, Tamra hasn’t completely left the Bravoverse, as she’s set to appear as a housewife on the second installment of RHUGT entitled The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club.
As for Teddi, she told Brandi Glanville on the Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast that she would love to appear on other reality shows outside of the Housewives franchise, including Dancing with the Stars (where many a housewife has competed) as it would push her out of her “comfort zone.”
