Following the announcement of Emma Watkins’ departure from The Wiggles, Tsehay Hawkins is set to replace the first female member.
“I am overjoyed. It is going to be an amazing experience and I am so grateful I have this opportunity to inspire young kids,” Hawkins told Today.

Who is Tsehay Hawkins?
Tsehay Hawkins (pronounced se-hi) is an adopted Ethiopian Latin Motion dancer. She will join Anthony, Lachy and Simon as The Wiggles hit the road for a huge tour of Australia in 2022.
Her name means “The Sun” in Amharic.
“I am honoured to be joining The Wiggles at such an exciting time for the group,” Hawkins said in a statement.
“I grew up watching The Wiggles and I’ve already loved working with Anthony, Emma, Simon, Lachy, Evie, Kelly, John and all the Wiggly characters filming their latest TV series Fruit Salad TV.”
Hawkins continued, “Dancing has always been my passion, and I look forward to being able to share the joy of song and dance with children all over the world!”

Born in 2005, Hawkins is 16 years old. She was only 15 when she became a Wiggle, breaking former Yellow Wiggle Greg Page‘s record of 19 for the youngest to join the group.
