According to Page Six, fire trucks and an ambulance were seen heading to the home in Malibu on Monday. A spokesperson for LA County Fire confirmed on Tuesday that there had been a “structure fire” that caused “smoke damage” at the address.
“They are all fine and in the home. A fire broke out in the basement, and a fireman was treated, but everyone is fine,” a source close to the family told Page Six.
A witness also told the outlet a fire “broke out somewhere on one of the properties” of the Hollywood couple’s estate and that “someone was treated at the scene” but not hospitalised.
“There were a lot of fire trucks and police, so it caught everyone’s attention, but they’re all fine,” the source added.
Will, 52, and Jada, 50, were both on the property at the time.
The actors built the sprawling estate in 2003 after purchasing several neighbouring properties. It took seven years to complete the project, which spans 25,000 square feet of living space. They listed the nine-bedroom home in 2013, before eventually deciding to keep it — Jada shoots her popular Red Table Talk show inside the mansion.
Back in 2018, the actor had been forced to evacuate the proper when it came under threat from the Woolsey wildfire.
The Girls Trip star recently celebrated her 50th birthday at the estate. She built a roller rink and provided food trucks and COVID-19 tests.
