NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A 14-year-old boy getting on the M1 bus in Harlem was grazed by a bullet to his head Thursday.
It happened just before 10 a.m. on 139th Street near Lenox Avenue.
Police say it does not appear to be a random shooting.
Witnesses said the teen appeared to be running from a suspect and tried to jump on the bus to get away, CBS2’s Dave Carlin reported.
The gunman fled the scene. The teen went to a nearby hospital.
The bus driver, who was not struck, also went to the hospital and was described as being very shaken up.
