Shooting in Kent leaves one man dead
A shooting in Kent Wednesday morning has left one man dead.
The shooting occurred at Birch Creek Apartments in the 27000 block of 129th Place Southeast.
KIRO Newsradio is awaiting details of the investigation. Kent Police Department reports that no arrests have been made, and no description of a suspect has been released.
SPD arrests one in Rainier Vista burglary, one in Chinatown carjacking
The Seattle Police Department arrested two men Tuesday afternoon for unrelated incidents of a carjacking in Chinatown and burglary in Rainier Vista.
Tuesday, Seattle Police received reports of a carjacking on 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street. Four male suspects stole a car at gunpoint. The vehicle was recovered on the 3000 block of South Estelle Street. Officers arrested one of the men who fled on sight, recovering a stolen handgun in the process.
In searching for the other suspects, Seattle Police were called to a nearby residential burglary. An ultimate arrest made over the theft was unrelated to the carjacking.
Both suspects were booked into King County Jail while police continue to investigate the other three carjacking suspects.
Chase of carjacking suspect spans several cities
10 p.m. Tuesday, a carjacking suspect was chased by a Guardian One helicopter through Kent, Bellevue, Seattle, and Renton.
The stolen vehicle was ultimately recovered in a Renton parking garage off North Sixth Street near Park Avenue North.
Police were ultimately unable to find a suspect.
