Hunstanton Town Council Extends Support to Social Group’s Macmillan Coffee Morning

A local social group has successfully raised nearly £230 through its annual fundraising event, which featured live music, a coffee morning, and a raffle. The event, organized by the Friday Friendship Group, is held each year to support Macmillan Cancer Support. This year’s gathering raised a total of £229.66, and additional donations are expected to be added to this amount in the near future.

The Friday Friendship Group, located in Hunstanton, received valuable support from the town council for its charity event. Deputy Mayor Cllr Adrian Eden was in attendance to show his support for the cause.

Cllr Eden expressed his delight, saying, “When I arrived, the place was buzzing, with all tables engaged in conversation—exactly what you hope for at a Macmillan coffee morning. The music from Jamm’in Joe also seemed perfectly suited for the occasion. Well done to everyone involved.”

The Friday Friendship Group convenes every Friday at Hunstanton Community Centre from 10:30 am to 12 pm. The entry fee is £1.50, and it welcomes all individuals to join for a cup of tea or coffee and some friendly company.

The town council extended its gratitude to Sue, Julie, and Hilary for their voluntary efforts in ensuring the group’s ongoing success.
