Fortunately, Evans emerged relatively unharmed, managing to exit the vehicle after the encounter with an Amtrak train. The dashcam footage depicts the moment of impact, revealing Evans making a left turn over the train tracks seemingly unaware of the impending collision. Despite the van being in motion during the collision, Evans narrowly escapes direct contact with the train. In the aftermath, he remains seated until the train passes, after which he begins to climb out, demonstrating his ability to do so independently.
The video highlights Evans’ lack of anticipation for the oncoming train as he navigates the turn. Although the exact speed of the Amtrak train at the time of the collision is unclear, it is noted that these trains can reach speeds ranging from 110 to 145 mph in certain areas. Helicopter footage captures the aftermath, showing the van’s side panels wedged onto the front of the train. TMZ reported that Evans was later discharged from the hospital, underscoring the fortunate outcome of the incident.
