Seated beside McGregor was his wife, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who plays Hera Syndulla in the Star Wars TV series “Ahsoka.” In contrast to McGregor’s uncertainty, Winstead shared more positive news, confirming that “Ahsoka Season 2” is currently in the works.

As of April 2023, Lucasfilm stated that “Obi-Wan Season 2” was “not in active development.” However, President Kathleen Kennedy has not completely ruled out the possibility of a second season.

“I never say never, because there’s always the possibility. That show was so well-received, and [director] Deborah Chow did such a spectacular job. Ewan McGregor really wants to do another. We’ll turn our attention to that again maybe down the road,” Kennedy explained.

While the future of “Obi-Wan Season 2” remains uncertain, Star Wars fans can anticipate the arrival of “The Acolyte” on Disney+ this June. Additionally, the Star Wars cinematic universe is expanding, with multiple movies in development, including one featuring Daisy Ridley’s return as Rey. Despite the current ambiguity surrounding Obi-Wan’s potential continuation, the Star Wars franchise continues to offer a diverse array of content to keep fans engaged.
