“Talking Heads Reunion: Don’t Miss Their Highly Anticipated Appearance on Colbert!”

Members of the band Talking Heads, including David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison, are set to make an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City next Wednesday, October 25.

This comes as part of their promotion for the 40th-anniversary re-release of their iconic 1984 concert film Stop Making Sense, directed by Jonathan Demme. Initially scheduled for a previous date, the appearance was postponed due to host Stephen Colbert’s COVID-19 diagnosis.

Byrne, Weymouth, Frantz, and Harrison have been actively promoting the newly restored film, widely renowned as one of the greatest concert films ever made. Having last performed together at the 2002 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the group discussed Stop Making Sense at the Toronto Film Festival last month and made an appearance on CBS Sunday Morning a few weeks later.

The 40th Anniversary Re-Release Of Stop Making Sense, presented by A24, is currently showing in theaters globally. In addition to the band, Canadian actor/comedian Mae Martin is also scheduled to appear on the upcoming episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
