In a message posted on X (formerly Twitter) at 8:01 PM ET, Fitbit stated, “We’re aware that some customers are experiencing issues with the Fitbit app, and we are currently investigating. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.” When asked about a time frame for resolution, Fitbit responded, “We can’t provide any time frame as of now.”

Fitbit’s community page also prominently displays a banner that reads, “We’re continuing to investigate the issue affecting Fitbit devices. Thank you for your patience.”

Reports about the outages have been widespread in other outlets and on X. Android Authority noted that data isn’t loading in the app, and the Coach tab displays a “content not available” message. 9to5Google reported a lack of statistics in the app. A Verge reader reached out to say they couldn’t activate a Charge 6, a process that typically requires using the app.

On Downdetector, over 3,000 people have reported various problems. Reports began to surge at approximately 5 PM ET.

These issues on Wednesday follow two major outages that occurred in February.
